To support workers during the COVID-19 pandemic,
Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) Dundee partnered with Angus Cycle Hub to provide several high-quality recycled and serviced bikes, helmets, locks and lights to those working at the Dundee manufacturing facility. These bikes and equipment have helped several staff members travel to and from work, without having to rely on public transport.
Angus Cycle Hub is a local community interest company that recycles abandoned and donated bikes for re-sale with an aim to improve recycling rates while promoting low carbon journeys, sustainable health and mental wellbeing.
They also give people the opportunity to volunteer skills to assist and employ full-time mechanics from disadvantaged backgrounds.
In addition to the bike donation, the DFS Dundee team created care packs for those who are utilizing public transport to get to work. The care pack includes a mini hand sanitizer, a packet of face masks, a government advice sheet on face masks and a bus information sheet.
These are just small tokens of our appreciation to show our thanks to those who have been working behind the scenes during this difficult time.
