Several members of the Dover team recently volunteered at a local junior high school through Junior Achievement.
Dover partnered with Junior Achievement to bring a learning opportunity to students at Hadley Junior High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois through “Reverse Job Shadow Day.” Local schools are finding innovative ways to educate students regarding the connection between their education and the workforce. One way this is accomplished is by placing volunteers from the business world in classrooms and providing real world relevance for the students.
The topics covered by the Dover team included Global Sourcing, Corporate Development & Strategy, Supply Chain, and Communications & Marketing.
In addition to providing volunteers, Dover also offers an annual school sponsorship of $25,000.
