The Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University recently held their 2016 Entrepreneurship Competition. Students presented their business plans and product concepts to compete for prize money and business startup awards to fund their business ventures.
The $10,000 Dover Best Product Award is given to the best manufactured product business plan. This year’s winner of the Dover Best Product Award was Neuro Helmet Systems. This product is a made-to-order, personalized motorcycle helmet that incorporates the latest technologies and safety features into an industry certified helmet. Some of the new safety features include airbags and a black box, which alerts 911 in the event of an accident. The creators of Neuro Helmet Systems are Jack Mister, Rob Cichielo, Megan Newcomer and Matthew Newcomer.
This award was judged by a Dover team consisting of Joe Smith (CFO, Microwave Products Group), Michele Garigliano (VP/GM, K&L Microwave), and Phil Crouse (Director of Operations, K&L Microwave).
This is the 29th year for the Perdue School of Business Entrepreneurship Competition, making this the second longest entrepreneurship competition in all of academia.
