During its 2017 Leadership Summit held in Chicago, IL, over 50 PSG team members volunteered at a local Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) organization. Founded in 1987, FMSC is a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.
PSG team members helped hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags that were then sealed, boxed and placed on pallets for shipping to FMSC partners working hard to reach children in need around the world. Throughout the day, PSG volunteers packed a total of 232 boxes of food, which will provide over 50,000 meals to feed 137 children in need for a full year.
“Coming together for the day to team up with such a great organization was an extremely rewarding experience,” said Karl Buscher, PSG President. “Knowing that we were able to impact so many children in such a short amount of time is a great feeling.”
