DuPage Children’s Museum (DCM) hosted its annual Benefit Ball on Saturday, April 7, 2018. This year’s event, themed “AWE Inspiring Moments,” emphasized the child-adult learning partnership that is at the core of the Museum’s mission.
The message of the evening emphasized the important and vital role adults play in a child’s life, whether through modeling, engagement, or providing resources that help inspire creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving in young children.
“Each year the Museum is pleased to recognize a Great Friend to Kids that helps us do what we do best around STEM education, making these experiences accessible to all children,” stated Mark Trembacki, DuPage Children’s Museum’s Board Chairman. This year, DCM chose to honor Dover for its involvement and support.
The Dover Foundation, the charitable arm of Dover, granted DCM $500,000 to complete the Museum’s AWEsome Energy exhibit. Dover, its leadership, and employees continue to remain engaged with the Museum to help provide important early learning STEM experiences to hundreds of thousands of children.
