  • Identify all sources of hazardous energy during non-standard work
  • Verify isolation and zero hazardous energy before starting work
  • Confirm that hazardous energy sources have been isolated, locked and tagged during service and maintenance activities
  • Do not attempt to operate equipment when it is locked and/or tagged out
  • Never work on “live equipment” unless specifically authorized
  • Use appropriate Permit To Work wherever required
