A group of employees from Dover’s Finance, Accounting and Treasury teams spent an afternoon packing meals at Feed My Starving Children.

As a way to give back around the holidays, nearly 30 employees from the Dover Corporate office volunteered at a local Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) facility last month. Founded in 1987, FMSC is a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children.

The Dover team members helped hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a blend of vitamins and minerals into bags that were then sealed, boxed and placed on pallets for shipping to FMSC partners working hard to reach children in need around the world. Throughout the day, volunteers packed a total of 206 boxes of food, which will provide over 44,000 meals to feed 121 children for a full year.

Additionally, a check on behalf of the Dover Foundation was presented for $1,000 to Feed My Starving Children at the conclusion of the event.

The group plans to continue the tradition of volunteerism in the future.
